To maximize their impact and ability to promote student success, student affairs programs and professionals must employ our resources strategically. Assessment and evaluation are key components in this process. When done right, assessment and evaluation can provide important evidence of program impacts, demonstrate accountability, promote a culture of transparency, and encourage improvements in student affairs practice.
For this project, WISCAPE staff will discuss why assessment is critical to the field and the types of evaluation that student affairs professionals can employ to fit their context.  The work also focuses on common strategies and best practices for assessment design, processes, and products.  In workshop settings, WISCAPE staff will work with student affairs professionals, bringing together findings from the research and practical advice from the field.
