Radomski discusses new position at GW, to help students graduate

May 17, 2016

Noel Radomski, director and associate researcher of the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE), was quoted in the GW Hatchet, George Washington University’s student newspaper, about the university’s decision to add a job position focused on student retention and graduation.

Radomski noted that “bringing in an administrator to focus solely on retention would be a good step in keeping more students on campus.” However, it will only be effective “if that person works closely with the provost, deans, and other staff across University office -- you need to have the provost to have authority to reach down to lower-level departments and offices.”

Radomski emphasized that “you have to have that authority to change things so you can really impact the entire campus community.”
