The mission of WISCAPE is to support the pursuit, sharing, and implementation of promising ideas for addressing fundamental challenges in postsecondary education in Wisconsin, the United States, and internationally. WISCAPE supports and disseminates the research of faculty and students in the Higher, Postsecondary, and Continuing Education (HPCE) program and supports the HPCE master’s and doctoral programs.
Rooted in the Wisconsin Idea—pursuing research and inquiry aimed at solving real-world problems—WISCAPE reaches out to and brings together diverse stakeholders to engage in spirited dialogue and learn with and from one another in cultivating, harnessing, and exchanging policies and practices for bolstering higher education. While HPCE faculty are the primary researchers within WISCAPE, administrators, staff, students, policymakers, and citizens are major participants and partners in the center's work.
