MOOCs, Flex Degrees, and DIY U: The Coming Transformation of Higher Education
A joint effort among faculty, staff, and students from across the University of Wisconsin, EDTalks Wisconsin is coming to the School of Education March 12-22, 2013.
A series of lectures, discussions, and debates about a range of topics such as school choice, closing the achievement gap, and online colleges, this event is free, open to the public, and requires no registration.
As one of the organizers for this event, WISCAPE is excited to host a conversation with Anya Kamenetz, "MOOCs, Flex Degrees, and DIY U: The Coming Transformation of Higher Education," on Friday, March 15, at 7:00 pm, in the UW School of Education Building on Bascom Hill (Wisconsin Idea Room). We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a stimulating and timely discussion given the proposed UW System Flex Degree and newly developed UW–Madison MOOCs.
Anya is a senior writer at Fast Company magazine, where she writes the column “Life in Beta” about change, and the author of several books on the future of education. Learn more about Anya and the March 15 conversation here. Also, check out this great piece in the Wisconsin State Journal about the UW MOOCs as well as Anya's visit!
