Wisconsin Covenant Admin. Rule Public Hearing, Monday, March 29, 11:00 am

by Noel Radomski 27. March 2010 17:04

Governor Doyle's proposal to offer financial aid as part of the Wisconsin Covenant will take a step closer to reality when the proposed WI Covenant administrative rule receive a public hearing on Monday, March 29, 11:00 am, at the WI DOA, 101 E. Wilson St., Conference Room 4B.  Below is a copy of the proposed administrative rule. If approved, then future Wisconsin Covenant Scholars college grants could range from $250 to $2,500, which will be based on need.

WISCAPE has followed the Wisconsin Covenant given our policy research interest in academic preparation, college readiness, and college access and completion.  We have written two policy briefs on the evolution of the Wisconsin Covenant, which you can see here and here.  The Wisconsin Covenant, a state-wide program, is based loosely on the Indiana 21st Century Scholarship Program
